Who isn't going to Dingle?- Folia wreck dive- this weekend

Hi folks,

If anyone is interested I (pawel) and Frank from Dublin are arranging diving on this Saturday.

We are planning the dive to Folia wreck, 120meters long, 37meters depth at the seabed

and 33meters at the deck. 6 boilers. She is in one pice and so hudge that one dive is not ehough to see her in all.

We want to chart the boat from sea hunter from Youghal and Folia position is not to far from there. They have a diving hard boat with lift for the divers (symilar to boat from plymouth)

Dive in Dingle - August Bank Holiday Weekend

Dingle is the venue for the August Bank Holiday Weekend trip this year.

We have provisionally booked accommodation and diving in Dingle from Friday Aug 1st to Monday Aug 4th. As we are not bringing the club boats but chartering the boats and skipper from the dive centre in Dingle, we need to know confirmed numbers for diving.

Costs will be:

Hostel accommodation: �20 per person per night

Diving: Approx. �40 per day (includes 2-dive trip - Blasket Islands trip �10 extra)

They are equipped in stainless steel springs straps of scubatech as well.

Made from hardy rubber like JETFINS of Scubapro.

Size XL - my size is 43 / UK 9 / US 10 and they had fit me well but they are flexible size between 41-44

Fins are a year old and still are in excellent condition and working well. Springs are in mint condition also. I am selling them because I have got the nice gift - new one:)

It's Ballinskelligs for the May weekend [2nd - 5th]. I'm rganising a house (sleeps 10 in beds , floor space for the rest of ye ) Dungeagan [downtown Ballinskelligs to those who don't know it].

Need to collect money in full and deposit this Thurs [Feb 21st] - 100 yoyos a head, some of it refundable when we leave the house. (Rough cost will be 25 euros a head a night)

Here's a couple of links for those interested in editing/sorting pics.

The first one is called Picassa and is a free Google tool mainly for sorting your pics but with a basic Photo editor as well. Also handy for creating folders for print etc. Makes it very easy to find your pics on the computer if you're like me and have them stashed all over the place. It will automatically pick up all pics on the computer once you download it.

Hi lads,

I dived in Portroe quarry yesterday, just over from Nenagh. Got there about 12 ish and there was 2 other guys diving inspirations, they said they did about 48m. Myself and Frank went in, did 32m, total runtime 80 mins practicing using 2 deco bottles with 50% and 100% O2 etc. There's a nice opening at 32m that looks like some kind of man made cave entrance but you're buoyancy would have to be 100% not to kick up the silt and definitely use a line so you can find your way back out. ...

I am trying to organise a liveaboard for the first week of september departing from sharm el sheikh. We would need a minimum of 12 divers to book a boat (max 20). The cost of the trip would �1200 - �1400. This would include flights, 7 nights accomodation on board, three meals per day and a minimum of 3-4 dives per day with 2 dives on the last day. Airport transfers are also included. If there is enough interest I will get a proper quote from the operators.

However if people are not too sure ...

Deco / bailout cylinders

Hi lads,

We're putting together a deal to buy Luxfer aliuminium cylinders for use as deco bottles or as a backup air source for anyone thats interested. There are 3 sizes available - 40cf (5.7 litre) 7 litre and 80cf (11.1 litre). Ideal for anyone who did the adv. nitrox course last year and would like to start doing deco dives.

The 7 litres will be painted white and the 40's and 80's should be the bare aluminium also know as 'ali brushed' which is a nice finish.

I have 2 drysuits for sale. I can bring these up to the pool if anyone wants to try them on. You know what size I am so if you're somewhere around then either one should fit. The Otter was made to measure and the Water Proof is off the peg.

The Otter comes with the Otter Commercial 200 Woolly Bear, neoprene hood and a dry bag that will hold everything. This never really fitted me properly (too big) and has done 5 or 10 dives so is like new. I bust out the front part of the woolly bear. ...
